Key Responsibilities
- Work with leaders and staff to assess needs and develop appropriate solutions to close gaps and enhance performance (coaching, training, OJT assignments, development plans, etc.)
- Proactively identify new content and resources to improve departmental performance and training
- Design, develop and implement learning courses and training solutions for SMI Staff
- Coordinate training and development between multiple departments as needed
- Provide oversight and monitoring of training budgets in partnership with managers around the ministry
- Manage staff development team members with oversight of new staff onboarding, department training plans, ministry Learning Management System, and learning and development platforms
- Create and implement leadership development initiatives and programs
- Oversee career planning solution for the ministry and assist with succession planning
- Administer staff-wide surveys to determine overall health of the organization including timelines, results communication, and action planning
- Manage organizational development efforts to build SMI capacity to change and achieve greater effectiveness through a variety of optimization initiatives in ministry structure, human processes, HR Management, and strategy
- Serve as a consistent voice for communication around the organization and contribute to monthly HR Newsletter
- Assist with the development of strategic plans for ministry, HR, and various departments, especially related to training and development, upon request
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 years of training experience and at least 1 year of management experience
- Four-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience. (Bachelor's degree)
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs including leadership development initiatives
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.)
- CPLP credential, SHRM CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL (SHRM-CP), Organizational Development certification, MBTI Certification, Gallup Strengths Certified Coach or similar is preferred
- Training and development (Advanced) knowledge including needs analysis and evaluation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to present complex information in an understandable manner and demonstrate an ability to simplify for others
- Demonstrated ability to lead presentations, meetings, discussions
- Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate and encourage individuals
- Ability to establish effective working relationships across all layers of management
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to think clearly, strategically and analytically

Additional Information
- Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment, requiring use of computer and mouse and other standard office equipment. Staff usually remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

- Staff may be required to travel and have a valid driver's license

Pay Range: $69,300-$104,000 Starting pay usually falls within the lower half of the pay range and is determined by experience, skills, and education. Benefits Include:
