Job Description:
Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a Learning Resource Center Coordinator. This position assists in administering and facilitating tutoring for academic programs, which may include but is not limited to: Insuring students receive quality academic tutoring services and hiring and supervising tutoring activities for the Terre Haute Service Area.Hire, train, & supervise part-time employees across the academic disciplinesMaintain work schedule for appropriate tutor coverage as neededMaintain TracCloud statewide data tracking systemCreate staff training modules in IvyLearnFoster and nurture positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students.Resolve student anxieties, match students with appropriate tutors, and monitor student progressWork with VCAA regarding tutoring for students on appeals; track progressAssist students with troubleshooting Knowledge Assessment technical problemsCollaborate with faculty to arrange class visits, presentations, or workshopsCollaborate with faculty regarding embedded tutoring or other specialized tutoring servicesTravel to high schools for dual credit outreachMonitor payroll budget for tutors and other budgetary processes.Compile usage and outcomes reports monthly or on demand and present data as needed.Represent the Terre Haute campus at a statewide level in monthly tutoring meetings.The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) is required; as well as the ability to learn project-specific software and applications.Must have a valid driver's license, the willingness and ability to travel, and work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.Must demonstrate the ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.Preferred Qualifications: A Master's Degree would be preferredIvy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
