Applications Accepted Starting 10/21/24 Application Review Starting 11/4/24 The Leonhardt Academic Skills Center (ASC) promotes academic, cognitive, and personal growth in all students and is a resource for the adult members of the School community, as well as students. We are seeking a collaborative educator who will work closely with the Director of the Academic Skills Center to serve our students, with particular focus on English Language Learners, and to collaborate with educators to provide individualized academic support and meet the needs of all students. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in a related field Experience working as a learning specialist in a high school setting. Experience working with English Language Learners in an educational setting Familiarity with English language level assessments (e.g., TOEFL, WIDA) Familiarity with and the ability to respond to many learning styles Recognition of appropriate boundaries in working with adolescents Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and members of the public Previous experience with evaluation reports preferred Ability to accept feedback, take direction, and be accountable for outcomes Ability to utilize technology which has been integrated into the students' educational program Understanding of adolescent girls and sensitivity to a diverse student body Commitment to the MHS Mission and Core Values #J-18808-Ljbffr
