Summary of the Position: Leasing Agent will be based at Jackson Park in Long Island City and will assist with leasing presentations, apartment walkthroughs, and the overall lead to lease process. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. *This role will require an on-site presence and full availability to work on the weekends. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compelling and informative leasing presentations which cater to prospective residents' needs, values and concerns
  • Show apartments extensively to customers while showcasing features and amenities
  • Maintain applications efficiently and effectively
  • Shop the competition on a regular basis
  • Assist the Senior Agent and Leasing Associates as needed
  • Provide clear and concise instructions on the leasing and approval processes
  • Follow up with customers and outside agents via phone and email. Ensure all leads are actively and appropriately pursued
  • Follow up on all questions, concerns and requests of prospective residents or their agents
  • Qualify perspective renters, collect application materials and supporting documents, prepare leases and complete the leasing process.
  • Complete applicant screening process and prepare leases and related leasing addendums.
  • Review and audit new applications, lease packages and move-in files to ensure completion of assembly and accuracy
  • Work with community management and lease administration to ensure units are ready to be shown to perspective renters
  • Work with community management on move-in procedures, to ensure smooth move-ins for new residents
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs
  • Assist residents with their needs
  • Ensure smooth transition and personalized introduction to the rest of the building team
  • Maintain relationships within the brokerage community
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Real Estate Salesperson or Associate Broker License preferred
  • If not a licensed Salesperson or Associate Broker, then you will be required to obtain license
  • License will be held by Tishman Speyer as Broker
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in real estate, hospitality or sales
  • Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean a plus
  • Must be service-centric, self-motivated, have great communication skills and personal accountability
  • Strong ability to interact successfully with potential residents
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Yardi or equivalent tenant screening software
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to diffuse difficult situations in a calm and professional manner

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to write, type, and grasp documents and items
  • Frequent use of arms to reach, pull, and push
  • Occasionally lift and/or move 10-20 lbs.
The base compensation range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000. This role is also eligible for discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer's New Yor team, as we've considered factors specific to this geography.
