We are hiring a talented Leasing Associate to join our rapidly growing portfolio of homes for lease in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Seattle. If you're interested in working with an innovative, top-performing real estate team, we encourage you to apply.
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills. They will be well-organized, able to multi-task with attention to detail, and maintain a high level of professionalism. Attributes such as being articulate, driven, creative, and a self-starter with problem-solving skills will be valuable. A background in hospitality, property management, and sales is desirable.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to leasing inquiries, securing appointments to view the property, and updating/recording activity.
- Prepare and execute leases in accordance with property standards and government regulations.
- Follow up on all incoming leads for unfurnished leasing inquiries in a timely manner, ensuring resident needs are met while maximizing revenue potential.
- Communicate confidently about various floor plans, features, and benefits.
- Screen prospective tenants to ensure eligibility, including conducting reference background checks and credit checks.
- Close sales for leasing unfurnished suites to meet or exceed company goals.
- Ensure a positive customer experience by setting clear expectations and accurately informing clients about the leasing process.
- Complete and enter all leasing documentation accurately and timely, including application forms and Tenancy Agreements.
- Participate in weekly meetings as required.
- Uphold Westbank Living's mission, vision, and values, serving as a brand and cultural ambassador.
- Inspect all vacant suites daily to ensure they are in optimal condition for showings/appointments.
- Ensure compliance with all legislation.
Qualifications:
- Passion for excellence in customer service delivery.
- Two years of relevant experience and post-secondary education preferred.
- Must be able to work some evenings/weekends and statutory holidays.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of leasing principles and relevant legislation.
- Advanced knowledge of marketing and social media practices.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
- Professional image and demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with smartphone and tablet technology.
- Familiarity with DocuSign, Yardi Voyager, Rent Café, and Rent Café CRM.
