Job Description Corcoran New Development had a banner year in 2023 as we introduced some of NYC's highest profile and significant developments in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, and we have big plans for 2024. This will include an expansion of our coverage in NYC as we are scheduled to open a number of new construction properties throughout the city this upcoming year. Subsequently, our division is set to be one of the only groups in the industry with projects in all 5 New York boroughs as well as New Jersey. We are excited to announce a new leasing project in Brooklyn, NY, and in search of a Leasing Coordinator. Working one weekend day might be part of the schedule for this position. Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Process rental apartment applications for a large residential complex
- Gather all necessary information needed for the processing and closing of rental applications in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective renters while processing their applications
- Communicate with prospective renters, their employers, their previous landlords and any other involved parties to obtain necessary documentation for verification of application information
- Verify accuracy of all application information and documentation
- Provide application status updates to prospective renters, resolve discrepancies or problems and ensure quality customer service
- Proactively follow up on all leasing applications and monitor turnaround time goals
- Provide admin support to the team
- Assist with special projects as needed
Desired Skill and Experience:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree required; may consider candidates without a degree given applicable work experience.
- Application processing experience in a high volume residential setting
- A NYS real estate license is preferred
- Customer service experience
- Must be detailed oriented and quality focused
- Must have strong phone skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills. Demonstrates ability to prioritize and complete time sensitive tasks in a fast paced environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word /Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
- Ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities
- Able to meet objectives within deadlines and minimal supervision
- Yardi Voyager, CRM, Site Manager experience preferred
