Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for managing the day-to-day lease transactions for the East Coast Region. Reports to Senior Vice President, Asset Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Asset Management, successfully executes established real estate leasing plans per regional goalsDevelop and maintain a positive and trusting relationship with brokers in the designated marketsBecome a market expert regarding market conditions such as rents, available product and general economic trends.Compile and maintain SWOT analysis for designated portfolio.Mandatory memberships in professional industry/trade organizations; Participate in local activities and community events as appropriate.Participate in Listing broker selection; Partner with Regional Manager to manage broker teamAssist with leasing assumptions/underwriting and marketing process for existing buildings as well as new acquisitionsSuccessfully negotiate lease terms that are in line with CenterPoint standardsWork with legal to prepare/draft lease documents, including: lease proposals, leases, amendments, license agreements, and other lease documentsParticipate in presentation to the Executive Committee/Board regarding lease negotiations, as appropriateUnderstands how to prepare, review, analyze, and interpret financial analysis template to make more informed decisionsCoordination of the lease transition with Property ManagerManage open houses/showings as neededCoordinate post-lease execution follow up with other team members to ensure proper finalization and completion of the lease fileProcess and approve lease commissionsQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate or related experience requiredIndustrial leasing experience requiredFlexible with respect to work schedule; candidate must be available to travel frequently and on short notice (30% - 40%)7+ years of related industrial real estate experienceMust have a strong commitment to excellenceStrong analytical skillsWritten and oral communication abilityMust be highly organizedExcellent presentation skillsAbility to build strong and collaborative relationshipsAbsolute integrityMust possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookAbility to manage elevated stress levels periodically; can work under an active and intense environmentPhysically capable of climbing structures and ladders to survey building systemsADDITIONAL DETAILS:).
