Summary of Position: The Leasing and Data Quality Specialist is responsible for administering Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) leases, ensuring agency-level data quality, and managing asset maintenance and tracking for New Hope Housing (NHH). This position supports compliance with housing and data standards, facilitates staff training on data systems, and responsible for rent collection and reporting. The Specialist reports directly to the Deputy Director. Essential Responsibilities: Some of the essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leasing Administration:
- Administers all aspects of PSH leases, including preparation, renewals, and terminations.
- Tracks rent collection, sends rent notices to clients, and provides monthly payment status reports to case managers.
- Processes rent calculations for new residents and conducts annual recertifications for HUD programs.
- Serves as the liaison with the agency's landlord-tenant attorney and attends court when needed.
Data Quality Oversight:
- Serves as the agency's HMIS administrator, ensuring compliance with data standards.
- Oversees data cleaning processes, work with case managers and submits monthly data quality reports to the Deputy Director and funding partners.
- Ensures systems are developed and used to collect and submit data as required by HUD, Alexandria City, Fairfax County, Arlington County, the state of Virginia, and other stakeholders.
- Prepares statistical reports for internal use, federal/state/local governments, and funders.
- Designs, collects, and analyzes data from resident/client satisfaction surveys and prepares annual reports.
- Leads data system training for new staff, ensuring proficiency in HMIS and related platforms.
Asset Maintenance:
- Handles asset maintenance and tracking for New Hope Housing, ensuring proper inventory management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinates preparation and collection of materials for program audits by federal, state, local, and independent auditors.
- Collects and analyzes data needed for grant proposals or development reports, as requested by the Director of Development.
- Models a caring, concerned, and respectful attitude toward clients and residents.
- Complies with policies and procedures of New Hope Housing, Inc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications: This position requires the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in MS Office, HMIS databases, and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including developing technical reports.
- Detail-oriented and highly accurate.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams.

- Ability to successfully pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record to be approved by our insurance carrier.
