Par Reference Code Job Summary Administer the leave programs in conjunction with third-party administrators to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. In addition, the Leave Administrator ensures compliance of company policies related to FML personal/short/long term disability, and Worker's Compensation. Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Reviews medical certifications in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act to determine if leave will be designated as FMLA protected.
  • Communicates with employees if additional information is required to complete the approval/denial of the medical certification.
  • Manages inquiries regarding procedures, policies, and eligibility rules and regulations. Coordinates FML with other forms of leave including Worker's Compensation, short term disability and paid-time-off.
  • Acts as an advocate for associates on leave to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and to ensure a successful return to work. Serves as first point of escalation for leave related issues.
