As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.The Leave and Benefits Administrator is responsible for overseeing and administering all employee leave programs, including but not limited to FMLA, Disability (STD, LTD), Personal, Paid Parental, and Caregiver Leaves. This role involves coordinating, communicating, and educating employees and managers on leave policies and requirements, acting as a key resource for complex leave-related matters, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all leave requests and related documentation in Payroll and Human Resource files.We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.Pay: $28.85-31.25/hourly (60,000-65,000/annualized)15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays.Early close Fridays - 3 paid hours off early each Friday.Health, dental (adult and child orthodontia included), vision, and pet insurance.Employer paid life insurance.403b + match, paid volunteer time, and more.Duties:Leave AdministrationCoordinate Leave of Absences: Evaluate and respond to requests for FMLA, Disability, Workers Compensation, Personal, Paid Parental, and Caregiver Leaves in multiple states. Responsible for closely monitoring and tracking leaves, communicate with Employees, Managers, Human Resource Business Partners, and medical providers as necessary.ComplianceEnsure compliance with Federal, State, and Local Leave Laws (FMLA, Workers' Compensation, etc.).CommunicationCommunicate benefit premiums/information to employees when on leave. Collect benefit premiums for continuation of health coverage and coordinate continuation of health and welfare benefits for the time employee is on leave of absence and not receiving a paycheck.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Three (3) years in leave of absence administration to include FMLA, ADA, and related state laws.Knowledge of various state leaves to include CO, CA, WA, IL, AZ.Preferred Qualifications:UKG experience.Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word.Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of Federal/State/Local HR, Benefit, and Leave laws and other subject matter to include multiple states.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal skills; interact effectively with a wide variety of people.
