As a fast-growing B2B industrial manufacturing company, we are looking for a Leave of Absence & Disability Administrator based out of our global corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. This position's primary responsibility is oversight and day-to-day administration of the company's disability and leave of absence programs, Workday Leave Module and Absence Tracking Software for the United States and Canada. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for implementation and administration of the disability plans and leave of absence policies.Responsible for ensuring proper management of all administrative aspects of leave claims to include tracking hours used/taken; return to work data; case reviews and working closely with the Managers, HR, Benefits, and Payroll to ensure kay dates, details, and status for employees is accurate and correct.Responsible for keeping up to date ensuring company is compliant with federal, state and local laws and regulations related to leave of absence. Partnering with legal when appropriate.Partners with team to identify areas of opportunity as it relates to benefit and well-being programs and offerings to enhance employee experience.Partners with Benefits Manager, Talent Management, and Legal team to develop and deliver appropriate Manager and/or HR training for all Leave related laws and regulations. Ensures training stays up to date and provides upon request.Provides support to employees, managers and HRBP on Leave related actions in Workday.Responsible for system functionality for Leave Module in Workday and partners with HRIS to ensure accurate configuration as well as Absence Tracking Software. Ensure proper process documentation and workflows. Identify areas to process improve and streamline.Conducts regular audits to maintain data integrity and accurate system functionality.Generates reports and analyzes leave data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provides regular updates to HR leadership on leave metrics and trends.Provide input to Benefits Manager regarding opportunities for improvement whether process related or related to leave offerings.Serves as a back-up to other Benefit team members on an as needed basis for daily inquiries and tasks.Complete special projects as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent with more 3 years' experience in administering disability plans and leave of absence.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding on all aspects of FMLA and other state mandated leave legislation and laws with the US, as well as any leave legislation for Canada.
  • Workday experience required, specific leave module experience is a plus.
  • Experience with AbsenceSoft software is also a plus.
  • Strong compliance and risk management mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess business and employee needs and make recommendations to meet those needs.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical skills. Proficient in MS Excel and other Office Suite Products.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies.
