No more than 1 gallon of water is permitted to be brought into the facility.Job Description:- Administer nursing care within the scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician.- Perform duties such as administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, and reinserting gastrostomy tubes.- Suction, irrigate wounds, and give enemas and douches.- Collect specimens and perform dialysis treatments, operating hemodialysis equipment and monitoring patients during procedures.- Assist physicians with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.- Respond to emergencies by administering first aid, performing CPR, or restraining patients.- Administer controlled drugs in various forms and provide medication instructions to patients.- Maintain medication accountability records, prepare and count medications, and observe and report patient conditions.- Provide general nursing, direct care, and programming assistance, including taking vital signs and assisting with personal grooming and hygiene.- Respond to patient alarms, make medical appointments for patients, and assist with recreational activities.- Provide work direction, orientation, and training to lower-level direct care staff.- Order medication and medical supplies, clean nurse stations, and perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing.Major Worker Characteristics:- Knowledge of skilled licensed practical nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient care, first aid, CPR, hospital practices and procedures, HIPAA regulations, human relations, and inventory control.- Proficiency in using medical equipment.
