Exhibits oversight of ongoing accreditation including the maintenance of compliance with the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) standards and assures teaching and training methods enlist best practices and those endorsed by the profession. Remains involved in all aspects of didactic and practical instruction as needed. Position InformationAssists with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts. Fosters a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Remains current regarding advancements in the field of Health Information Management to integrate relevant information into the curriculum. Collaborates with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program. Monitors student progress, advise students, record grades/academic progress, and submit reports as requested.
