We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a Lecturer I for the Department of Communication beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
The lecturer will teach classes primarily in the areas of video and audio editing and production. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses such as Television Production, Video Editing, Broadcast Audio Production, Broadcast News Writing, Advanced TV/Film Production, Broadcast Advertising Production, and might include related fields such as Multi-Media Storytelling and Reporting.

Minimum Qualifications
Completed Masters' degree in Communication or Journalism, or related field (must have at least 18 hours of graduate credit in Mass Communication).
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
Professional or educational experience in the use of editing software, previous experience teaching in a computer lab or professional experience working in the broadcasting field.
