LHH is seeking a legal administrative assistant to join our client in Richmond, VA. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of our office and providing essential support to our legal team. The ideal candidate will be fully available and able to start asap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer administrative support to one or more attorneys.
- Transcribe dictations and proofread legal documents.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, both physical and digital filing.
- Manage and maintain schedules, including setting up appointments and coordinating meetings.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and partners.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of legal documents and correspondence.
- Ensure deadlines are met by keeping multiple agendas and providing timely reminders.
- Manage travel arrangements for attorneys.
- Perform general office duties such as scanning, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or legal secretary.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and the ability to learn legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work comfortably with a diverse pool of people.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
