Job Description:
Hybrid A law firm in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to work closely with their team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to handle essential administrative tasks. This role supports efficient operations and ensures pretrial and trial preparations run smoothly. Responsibilities include managing attorney calendars, document filing, and supporting office staff. They are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented candidate with a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong foundation in law firm administration. Legal Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate calendars for attorneys and manage case intakes for new clients
  • Copy, bind, and review materials for completeness, edit bills, draft basic correspondence and court filings, and manage electronic filings in federal and state courts
  • Greet clients, manage communications with co-counsel and guests, and coordinate with vendors
  • Answer and route calls, manage attorney time records, handle data entry, and maintain office supplies
  • Collaborate with bookkeepers for processing invoices and deposits, prepare documents for financial transactions, and manage billing processes
  • Respond to attorneys' requests, manage multiple projects, and provide updates on project status
Legal Administrator Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year in an administrative role at a law firm
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor s degree is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Clear communication and prioritization abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Strong judgment, adaptability, and comfort with high-tech environments
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
