Job Description:
A respected law firm in the San Fernando Valley is looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to support its Estate Planning Practice Group in its daily operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and exceptionally organized, with at least two years of experience in estate planning and trust administration. In this role, you will collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals, drafting estate plans, preparing post-death trust administration documents, recording deeds, filing court documents, and managing client communications.     • Support multiple attorneys
    • Work with Attorneys to create, review, and revise estate plan forms
    • Heavy telephone contact, email, and direct interaction with the client
    • Assist attorneys with information gathering and research for cases and mediation or trial preparations
    • Conduct research in legal publications and databases to find laws and court decisions pertaining to current cases
    • Draft legal forms for probates, trust administration/controversy matters, and guardianships
    • Communicate with court officials and opposing counsel on behalf of clients and attorneys as needed
    • Help lawyers prepare for hearings, mediations, and trials
    • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
    • Manage attorneys' calendars; schedule meetings and appointments
    • Maintain organized files, including copies of all documents and correspondence
    • Perform other administrative duties as they arise
What You Need
    • Minimum of 2 years of legal administrative experience in trust and estate planning or a related legal field.
    • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal document management systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Salary & Benefits
    • Location: San Fernando Valley Competitive
    • Salary: $23 - $36/ hour
    • This is a full-time, long-term position.
    • The position is immediately available.
    • On-Site (Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley)
    • Monday through Friday
