About the Role

iCapital is looking for a Legal Assistant to join the Legal team. This role provides administrative and paralegal support and serves as a point of contact for both internal and external constituencies. This individual will communicate and collaborate often with our team, other teams within the company, law firms, vendors, clients, potential clients, and investors.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake various paralegal and administrative tasks for the legal group, including document organization and review.
  • Organize and update online and hard copy legal files.
  • Manage logistics for meetings and other departmental events as needed.
  • Format information for internal and external communication such as memos, emails, presentations, and reports.
  • Help move along deliverables, facilitate special requests, and contribute and execute on last-minute ideas.
  • Process expense reports and periodically arrange complex and detailed travel plans.
  • Take the initiative to improve operations and office conditions throughout the day.
  • Work on ad hoc projects as part of the larger legal and compliance team.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate college degree
  • Prior experience in law firm/corporate law department
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with CounselLink and/or Coupa is a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience interacting with high level executives and able to manage up through attention to detail, strong initiative, ability to work independently, and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Track record of managing schedules and processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort operating within a dynamic environment and executing in situations where paths are uncharted
  • Able and willing to provide executive support beyond the scope of a typical workday

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
