Title and SummaryLegal Co-opMastercard is seeking a law student join the legal team that is responsible for providing comprehensive, end-to-end, strategic legal counsel and support to Mastercard's global Product & Engineering group, which provides cutting edge products and services to Mastercard's customers and cardholders.Role:Mastercard's law department offers an engaging and paid legal co-op experience that provides one talented law student from an accredited law school an opportunity to gain exceptional experience and build relationships and exposure across a variety of practice areas. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of attorneys in Mastercard's law department and will benefit from training and feedback on substantive assignments, mentoring and professional development.All About You:The selected law student will gain an understanding of in-house legal roles, the payments and technology industries and Mastercard's product and engineering businesses. Typical assignments may include identifying and analyzing key legal, regulatory and commercial risks related to Mastercard's products and services, researching legal issues, collaborating with subject matter experts, drafting contracts, review and preparation of product sales materials, among other matters as needed.Successful applicants will have demonstrated academic achievement and will have distinguished themselves within their law school and communities. Each candidate will be evaluated individually.
