POSITION SUMMARY This position's primary responsibility will be to provide administrative support for immediate supervisor and, other lenders, as time allows. This support will include communication with clients in person, by phone, by e-mail, or by regular mail to schedule appointments, process requests for loan advances and loan payments, with direction and approval from lenders, and to provide a high level of customer service to bank clients and prospects. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with preparation of loan documents; reviewing loan documentation for accuracy and completeness; completing internal real estate valuations, completing appraisal reviews, communicating with loan clients to facilitate signing or e-signing of loan documents; communicating with borrowers to request, collect, monitor, or prepare information to properly document and maintain customer loan files; and preparation of reports as may be requested by supervisor. This position will also work closely with the loan administration team and assist with uploading documentation to the customer files in the document imaging system to maintain customer files and will also provide support and assistance to the bank's customer service and teller areas as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Work as an administrative assistant for immediate supervisor and other lenders as time allows.
  • Communicates with bank clients to schedule appointments, process requests for loan advances and loan payments, and discusses potential solutions with clients to clear up overdrafts and past due loan payments.
  • Prepares new loan documents, assembles loan documents for loan closings, and verifies and examines loan documents for accuracy according to loan approval covenants and conditions.
  • Prepares internal real estate valuations and completes appraisal reviews.
  • Reviews loan files for proper pre-closing and post-closing loan documentation.
  • Works closely with the loan administration team to monitor loan files and assists this team as needed with file maintenance and documentation including any post-closing follow-up, as necessary.
  • Communicates with professional service providers, (i.e.: appraisers, attorneys, abstracters, realtors, insurance agents, etc.), to obtain all documentation necessary for preparing loan closing packages and post-closing documentation to complete customer files.
  • Orders credit reports, lien searches, UCC searches, flood hazard determinations, appraisals, proof of insurance, or other items needed for file documentation prior to closing.
  • Processes documentation to perfect the Bank's collateral position. (i.e.: filing UCC's and mortgages, liens on vehicle titles, assignments of collateral, etc.) and follows up to verify and document bank's collateral position after closing by obtaining final titles opinions or certificates of title, vehicle titles, etc.
  • Provides support for bank CSRs by answering client and prospect questions, answering phone calls, assisting on teller line, and directing clients to the appropriate individual to assist them as needed
  • Assists in research and preparation for business development calls and with marketing efforts.
  • Participates in community organizations and events and promotes the proper bank image at all times.
  • Identifies cross-selling opportunities and makes appropriate referrals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associate Arts Degree; 2-4 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
