Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for Level 2 Desktop Technician/Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in lower Manhattan, NYC.He or she will need to be onsite for 5 days during the start-up period and MAY possibly scale down overtime to 3-4 days/ week.Person must work 5 days/week onsite and be able to work alternating shifts on occasion - 7-3:30pm or 10 - 6:30pm and sometimes on weekends** W2 or Independent Corps ONLY **Client unable to work with 3rd party C2C
Responsibilities:
- Provide deskside support (including install and uninstall software), and assist manager in generating vulnerability reports and onboarding software to SCCM.
- Provide security remediation (i.e., security patches, software updates/removal) for US offices
- Execute patch management and configuration changes
- Execute the patch management process to ensure vulnerabilities are remediated in a timely and effective manner.
Required Skills:
- 1-2+ years of experience
- STRONG WINDOWS 10 or 11 OS EXPERIENCE.
- STRONG SCRIPTING EXPERIENCE -- POWERSHELL AND/OR MS BATCH
- Ability to create and/or execute SCCM software distribution package
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of other scripting languages (e.g., python)
- Excel Macro
- Financial Services
- Experience with network security, protocols, application security, infrastructure hardening and security baselines.
