Job Description:
As a Level 3 Armed Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the property, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for conducting patrols, monitoring access points, and responding to security threats or incidents. This position requires a high level of responsibility, professionalism, and the ability to handle situations with the use of appropriate force when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- -Armed Patrols: Conduct regular armed patrols of the premises to ensure the safety of the property and its occupants.
- -Access Control: Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed entry.
- -Incident Response: Respond to alarms, disturbances, or any signs of suspicious activity. Take appropriate action, including detaining individuals if necessary.
- -Report Writing: Prepare detailed incident reports, documenting any security breaches, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences.
- -Emergency Response: Act quickly and effectively in the event of emergencies, including medical emergencies, fires, or criminal activities.
- -De-escalation: Use de-escalation techniques to manage confrontational situations and resolve conflicts peacefully when possible.
- -Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Assist local law enforcement agencies in the investigation of security breaches or other criminal incidents.
- -Valid Level 3 Security Guard License (Texas): Must hold a current Level 3 Commissioned Security Officer license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
- -Firearm Certification: Must have valid firearm certification and demonstrated proficiency with firearms.
- -High School Diploma or GED.
- -Minimum of 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- -Clean Criminal Record: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- -Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- -Overtime may be required depending on client needs.
