Role Description
Rittenhouse Communications Group has been providing integrated technology solutions to builders and building owners throughout the Mid-Atlantic for the past ten years. As experts in smart building technology, we pride ourselves on being able to listen to and understand our clients to uncover their technology needs and help them to create a strategy before flawlessly delivering a fully integrated solution.
We are seeking a full-time Level II Technician based out of our Center-City Philadelphia office to oversee the installation and implementation of access control systems, IP intercom and video systems to internal and customer networks.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and inspect installations and interface work performed by Level I technicians and subcontractors.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot systems including, but not limited to, access control, intercom, IP & analog video, network, Wi-Fi, A/V, and VoIP
• Install, test, tone, and terminate various types of low voltage cabling including CAT6, Coax, door access cable, among others.
• Ensure Level I technicians and subcontractors are installing and configuring systems as per RCG and industry standards.
• Solve advanced system issues while performing “root-cause analysis”.
• Anticipate problems or necessary changes and work with project & service managers to complete assignments on time and within budget.
• Work with customers to fine-tune systems to meet their needs.
• Work with Project Managers and Service Managers to complete assigned tasks, tickets, and project installations.
• Provide timely accurate updates on service tickets and project installations.
• In all matters, act in the best interest of the company and the client as it relates to time, budget, quality, and industry and company best practices and standards.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate-to-expert level knowledge of network infrastructure.
• Expert level knowledge of various access control systems, IP video systems, intercom systems, and other IP-based building systems.
• Ability to program various access control and IP video systems
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a vehicle with safe driving skills.
• Ability to initiate and adapt well to change.
• Ability to lift objects up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to climb/work on a step ladder, extension ladder, or elevated bucket when required.
• OSHA-10 construction certification
