Hill Renewable Natural Gas Project. Gas processing equipment includes blowers, compressors, dehydration units, chemical, and thermal processes that remove contaminants from the landfill gas to produce pipeline spec gas for injection into the Northwest Interstate Pipeline. Landfill Gas O&M Tech Trainee operates in conjunction with and under the direction of Landfill Gas Tech I, or Landfill Gas Tech II. Examples of DutiesEssential FunctionsDuties may include by not limited to the following:
- Acquire and maintain individual qualifications for the safe operation of the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Project.
- Acquire and maintain DOT Pipeline Operator Qualifications.
- Assume responsibility for the safe operation of RNG plant equipment and pipeline during assigned shift and work safely at all times.
- Participate in maintenance activities and planned shutdowns, and provide emergency shift coverage as necessary.
- Input data and use the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create and document work orders and maintain spares inventory tracking for all plant systems.
- Interface with landfill site personnel to coordinate operation of gas cleaning system and flare equipment and to maximize gas production.
- Maintain positive relations with internal and external customers and contribute to the preparation of station production and maintenance reports.
- Ensure LFG Tech II is kept informed of plant performance and equipment problems and other issues as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned may include landfill gas field scope of work.

Typical QualificationsQualifications Minimum Qualifications: Six months of experience working in technical training and/or work experience in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls or plant operations.
- Valid First Aid/CPR Card, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of regular status employment.
- Post-offer background check required.

- Demonstrate the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite products.

Supplemental InformationTypical Physical Demands/Working Conditions While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to drive, climb, work off ladders and platforms accessing equipment via vertical rung-type, cage-enclosed ladders, bend, lift, stand, sit, read, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools, and controls. The position requires mobility.Duties may require the operation of motorized vehicles, activities, and types of work may include working alone in a control room setting, working in areas of limited access and egress, and lifting and carrying up to 60-pounds over uneven terrain. Work outside in all weather conditions including wind, rain, sleet, snow and temperatures from -5F to 115F with appropriate safety measures required by law.Duties are performed in the areas of Roosevelt, WA. Rotating shift work required, this will include working assigned holidays and weekends as required by the established rotation. Some training outside of Klickitat County may be required for the successful completion of all assigned tasks. Note: This is a safety sensitive position and as per the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), the individual is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
