Position Summary
The Part-time Library Assistant delivers a high level of quality library services ensuring the provision of value-added experiences for all customers and performs routine tasks in support of the library.

Essential Functions
Promote the library's collection and services
Perform circulation activities
Provide service desk coverage
Provide materials to appropriate bins for transfer
Provides research assistance to customers
Utilize integrated library systems software
Assisting customers at several service points
Training and assisting customers on various library policies, procedures, and processes
Collaborating with Librarians to deliver programming and outreach services
Assisting with volunteer management
Perform shelving and weeding duties
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience including library or retail.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of integrated library systems software (IE: Horizon)
Bilingual
