Oxford College seeks a visionary leader and collaborator for the position of Library Director. This beautiful tree-lined campus is located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory's original campus in Oxford, Georgia. Its library serves as a dynamic cultural and academic center. The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of Full Librarian.
The Director is a member of the Oxford Leadership Team and supervises administrative and professional staff. Responsible for College and University educational and research missions, the Director will oversee the overall management of a specialty library's operations, facilities and services, and the development and implementation of annual operational plans as well as strategic planning, evaluation and assessment, budgeting and external relations.
Reporting to the Sr. Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to Emory University's Vice Provost of Libraries and Museum, the Director will guide the strategic direction and operational excellence of the Oxford College Library. Additionally, as a member of the Cabinet and Senior Management Team for Emory Libraries, the Director will partner with the University to provide oversight of Emory Libraries services, policies and programs including assessment, fiscal and resource allocation, and exhibitions.
