Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of the GCU Library Aide position is to assist students, faculty, and staff with using the Library and to promote Library services and resources.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/ Essential Functions: - Perform circulation duties, including the checking in and out of Library materials
- Provide prompt and friendly service to GCU students, faculty, and staff
- Assist library users with using Library equipment and resources
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks
- Shelve library materials
- Maintain a clean and safe library environment
- Other duties as assigned
Equipment Used and Responsibility: - Must possess excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Library databases and online search engines
- Springshare LibApps
- Integrated Library System software such as Innovative's Sierra
Qualifications: - Must be available to work a flexible schedule. Weekend and opening/closing shifts required.
- Willingness to learn and provide excellent customer service
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- Dependable and punctual

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time campus student in a Bachelor's program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
