Description: Library Technical Services Specialist, Full Time
Salary Range: Non-exempt, $19.33 to $24.16 per hour based on background and experience, excellent benefits package
Reports To: Coordinator of Library Services
Position Summary: Responsible for the maintenance, access, and evaluation of the library's electronic resources and discovery systems. Participates in the acquisitions, collection maintenance, and purchase order processes. Troubleshoots access issues and provides support to faculty, students, and staff on the use of electronic resources.
Qualifications: Required: 1. Bachelor's Degree. 2. Experience with technical support and troubleshooting. 3. Organizational skills with ability to maintain accurate, detailed records. 4. Familiarity with library cataloging and classification systems such as Library of Congress and MARC Records. 5. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred: 1. Certificate or coursework in library science. 2. Experience with library systems, software, and digital tools (e.g. Alma, Primo, LibGuides). 3. Experience with library acquisitions, cataloging, and classification systems (e.g. Library of Congress, MARC Records). 4. Experience working in a library and/or academic setting. 5. Familiarity with accessibility standards and practices for electronic resources.
