Starting Salary Range is $36,358.40 - $54,579.20. The initial salary offer is commensurate with education and related work experience.
Coordinate and train the circulation team and work closely with the Library Director and other library staff to implement and refine circulation and customer service policies. Lead the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of student assistants. Supervise library staff. Manage the Laptop Loaner program. Assist patrons by working at the circulation desk and performing day-to-day duties.
Coordinate the circulation team (1.5 FTE).
* Develop and evaluate workflow patterns and establish operating standards and guidelines.
* Interview, hire, supervise, and evaluate student employees.
* Supervise one (1) part-time Circulation Desk Clerk.
* Project staffing needs.
* Plan and delegate work.
* Prepare, maintain, and update customer service training manuals & provides training.
* Develop overarching policies and recommend changes for approval.
* Resolve personnel problems and consult the Library Director when necessary.
* Train circulation support staff and maintain a training checklist for student employees.
* Update procedures notebook.
Power user of the Library's Integrated Library System (computer system).
* Create review files of lost/missing books.
* Create course reserves bibliographic records and maintain reserve collections for faculty and students.
* Create circulation review files.
* Create and maintain new faculty, staff, and administrator patron records.
* Run the WMS Link Detector once a week and fix any broken links
Laptop Manager:
* Update laptop spreadsheet
* Contacting students of availability and their return via email, text, and telephone
* Performing inventory each semester.
Serve library patrons at the circulation desk.
* Check library materials in and out.
* Help maintain the Lee Cares laptop spreadsheet and conduct quarterly inventories of all equipment.
* Renew materials.
* Charge fines.
* Assist with printing.
* Provide change.
* Answer questions.
* Assist with library events, keep track of IT & maintenance work orders
* Create review files of overdue items and apply holds utilizing PeopleSoft.
* TexShare: issue cards, maintain records, and provide reports.
* Provide interlibrary borrowing/lending service in the absence of Library Technician I.
* Create email overdue notices in the absence of Library Technician I.
* Count cash drawer daily.
* Perform other duties assigned.
* Internal candidates only - Must be a current full-time or part-time employee of Lee College
* Associate's (or higher) degree required or sixty (60) college hours without a degree
* Five (5) years' experience in an academic library
* Previous supervisory experience
* Demonstrated computer skills in word processing and Microsoft Excel
* Evening and Saturday work required
