Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced massage therapist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is well-versed in different types of massage and massage techniques, and attentive to each client's needs and physical condition. Responsibilities: • Assess and advise on each client's unique needs, taking into consideration their level of stress, physical condition, and medical history, and offer recommendations for types of massage and treatment • Keep track of client treatment records and plans and monitor improvement • Give clients suggestions for wellness maintenance such as stretches and stress relief techniques • Prepare the massage table and necessary products to apply to the client's skin • Recommend additional products or services that may benefit the client • Perform various massage techniques to provide relaxation and pain relief for clients • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for clients • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences for each session • Recommend and sell appropriate spa products to enhance clients' relaxation experiences • Uphold high standards of customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty Qualifications: • Over one year of work experience as a massage therapist • Adequate knowledge of a variety of massage techniques such as reflexology, sports massage, Swedish massage, and deep-tissue massage • Must be excellent at communication and interpersonal relationships • Completion of a massage therapy program preferred • Licensure must comply with state and local laws and regulations • The role requires a current NYS license with prior customer service and/or hotel experience preferred • Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, mostly on your feet. Medium work -- exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, ability to multi-task • Must possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms, moving quickly and agilely if a situation arises requiring quick assistance • Will work under variable temperatures and noise levels (although treatment rooms are mostly quiet and relaxing with soft music playing) • Near Vision - the ability to see details at close range • Must be able to convey and understand information and ideas in English Compensation: $1,700 weekly
