English Meadows Senior Living is a locally owned company providing excellent care to our wonderful Residents. We are passionate about assisted living and ensure each of our Caregivers looks forward to the day just as much as our Residents in our communities.

We are looking for a compassionate, caring, and experienced Executive Director who would be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the community. As an ED, you are able to interact and connect with our Residents and fellow Caregivers daily. The ED has the ability to establish a community that revolves around providing the best possible care for our Residents while making every day enjoyable and fulfilling.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and evaluates all Team Members to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to the Residents.
  • Monitors the day-to-day work provided by the Team; supervising, critiquing, suggesting, and educating the team on proper work standards.
  • Completes paperwork on all new admissions, assisting and coordinating Residents' move-ins and move-outs.
  • Coordinates training and Team Member meetings.
  • Completes Human Resources tasks.
  • Ensures budget goals are met.
  • Responsible for establishing and keeping a good working relationship with all Residents, families, visitors, vendors, and outside agencies.
  • Completes and reviews incident reports as needed.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations within the community.
  • Job Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals as an Adult Home Administrator.
  • Must meet requirements imposed by licensing authorities.
  • Must have good organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Must be willing to praise and discipline team members as appropriate.
  • Must have an acceptable criminal record check.
  • Documents TB screening.
  • Must have or complete CPR/1st aide within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Must perform tasks with grace; work cooperatively with supervisors and display willingness to assist co-workers.
  • Must be capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
