In Flight Inc., is a nonprofit that provides support services within a home environment and the community for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Summary of Position: The Licensed Clinician is responsible for the development and implementation of Behavior Plans. Teaching staff and supporting adults with IDD and Mental Health. Ensure best practice for health and safety with working knowledge of HCBS waivers and part 633.16 regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A master's degree in psychology, Social Work, or related field; LCSW or LMHC required.
  • Experience in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development.
  • Experience with working with adults with mental health
  • Knowledge of HCBS and Part 633.16 regulations
  • Three to five years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans
  • Ability to provide supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.
  • Certification or ability to become certified in SCIP-R
  • Strong behavioral analysis skills
  • Effective communication and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Therap

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and oversees implementation and training of Behavior Support Plans, Medication Monitoring Plans, or other intervention strategies in conjunction with Residential Services.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and training to applicable agency staff (clinical, direct support, management, and others as needed).
  • Provides direct clinical supervision to assigned staff.
  • Conducts required psychological assessments for service recipients.
  • Completes Functional Behavioral Assessments, develops behavior plans, and medication monitoring plans as needed.
  • Coordinates the collection, summation, and analysis of data related to behavior programs
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards as required.
  • Participates in admissions decision process, screens referral material, attends screening sessions, and makes observation visits to applicants' current program.
  • Participates in meetings/committees as required (i.e., Human Rights Committee, Risk Management Committee, Incident Review Committee, Corporate Compliance, etc.) to ensure adherence to best practices across programs.
  • Attend Life Plan meetings and monthly res-hab meetings for high needs and/or dually diagnosed individuals, as appropriate/needed. During scheduled and unscheduled site visits, observe and document any changes in the individuals' clinical stability and presentation. Communicate findings, clinical assessment, and recommendations to the treatment team.
  • Develops effective treatment plans in conjunction with individuals and treatment teams; monitors and evaluates individuals' progress; and modifies treatment plans or terminates services when appropriate.
  • May supervise and train social work interns, and paraprofessional social work and/or direct care staff.
  • Frequent travel between work sites.

All staff must pass all NYS Justice Center Background Check Requirements, and Physical. In addition, the employee has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law (including any motor vehicle infractions) to the Human Resources Department.
