Compensation is commensurate with the certification and degree. Starting at 75K annually for LCSWPOSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Therapist works as part of an interdisciplinary, patient-centered care team to support the overall health and well-being of patients referred for mental health services. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to address a wide range of mental health concerns. The Licensed Therapist collaborates with patients, their families, and other professionals to facilitate positive change.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct service through the utilization of different treatment modalities, e.g. individual, group, family, play therapy, etc.
- Psycho-social assessments.
- Evaluation of mental health status of patients with recommendations for treatment.
- Information and referrals within and outside of the mental health department.
- Recording of information in patient charts, provide all necessary statistical information relative to caseload on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, with additional information as per directive of department head.
- Interact with other Addabbo staff on behalf of their patients utilizing the team concept.
- Provide the necessary advocacy for patients.
- When appropriate, provide supervision to undergraduate students, paraprofessionals and other non-professional temporary staff.
- Other assignments as requested by Mental Health Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master's or Doctoral Degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology or a related field from an accredited school.
- Certification from the New York State Division of professional Licensing as a LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist and a National Provider Identification number (NPI)
- A knowledge and comfort with the use of computers, or the willingness to learn.
UNION, HOURS AND SALARY:
- Fulltime, 35 hours per week position that includes some evening work.
- Salary is based on years of post-masters work experience.
- 199 Union position if other than PsyD. Or Ph.D.
