- Electrical Installation: Perform electrical wiring and connections for residential and commercial solar systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
- System Integration: Install inverters, disconnects, and other solar-related electrical components, integrating solar systems into existing electrical infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in both new and existing solar installations, ensuring all systems function safely and efficiently.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all electrical work complies with NEC standards and local regulations, prioritizing safety during every step of the installation process.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on solar power systems to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Complete detailed reports on electrical work performed and ensure proper documentation for permits and inspections.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the solar installation team to ensure smooth and timely completion of projects.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Licensed Electrician: Must have a valid New York electrician's license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a licensed electrician, with experience in solar installations (preferred).
- Knowledge of Solar Systems: Familiarity with solar inverters, wiring methods, and electrical system components related to solar power.
- Safety Conscious: Deep understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices, particularly in solar energy systems.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work in various weather conditions, and be comfortable working on rooftops and ladders.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and inspectors.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license in good standing required.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of solar installations.
