Licensed Enroller - Benefits Counselor - (NY)Join a market leader as a Licensed Enroller/Benefits Counselor. Our market-leading Enroller/Benefits Counselor team provides comprehensive benefits education, excellent customer service and personal insurance products at the worksite to help employees make educated decisions on how to best protect their families, finances and futures.As an Enroller/Benefits Counselor, you're more than an benefits salesperson – you're a Benefits Counselor who provides consultation to education and personalized recommendations to employees to help them understand their worksite benefits and which plans suit the needs of their families best. The Enroller/Benefits Counselor is empowered to:*Conduct one on one meetings with each client at their place of employment, or by phone to provide a thorough understanding of benefit offerings available to review existing benefit package and assist in making new elections;*Assist new and existing employees in the selection and purchase of worksite, voluntary and core products;*Proactively follow-up with employees to ensure customer satisfaction and answers basic customer service questions;*Proactively ensure all materials for enrollments are readily available and in presentable format to share with employees; and*Build relationships with employees in your enrollment and benefit counseling activities.Essential Duties:*Responsible for completing all product masteries, product tests, and enrollment platform training modules and certifications;*Responsible for meeting enrollment goals for each case including production goals and participation requirements;*Responsible for delivering all enrollment data and paperwork (if applicable) to the appropriate person by the designated date;*Responsible for delivering benefit information in both group and individual settings;*Responsible for attending all enrollment preparatory meetings and being prepared for each enrollment which includes having all sales/enrollment materials and a thorough understanding of the group's benefit plan, and being able to sell products suitable for each individual within that group; and,*Responsible for personal and professional representation and preparedness, i.e., working hotspot; cellphone; laptop or pad; brochures and pamphlets; rate sheets (if applicable), etc.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPointExperience using enrollment platformsExcellent organizational skills and work ethic, and ability to work independentlyEffective communication skills with the ability to present to both individuals and groups on all levelsExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsPositive attitude; present a professional appearance and demeanor; ability to handle confidential informationDepending on location, may require overnight travel Must maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving recordMust be comfortable and effective with public speakingMust possess excellent understanding of Section 125, Flexible Spending Accounts, and any pending changes to either.Required Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentMaintain a current insurance agent license in Life, Accident and Health for State of NYOne (1) or more years' experience in customer service, sales, insurance, finance, or related fieldor, equivalent military experienceOur company will provide access to training, support and competitive compensation and incentives to help you grow and be successful.
