Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC) has immediate full and part time job opportunities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), no previous psychiatric experience required.

LPNs at HPC are part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care and patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness.

LPNs at HPC, under the direction of a RN:

  • Perform nursing care tasks consistent with individual treatment plans
  • Administer medication
  • Attend to individuals personal care needs including daily living and hygiene tasks

HPC, an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited hospital, is a comprehensive, community-based mental health facility serving individuals from the Central New York region. Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse

  • NYS License and current registration to practice as a practical nurse; or
  • NYS Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse; or
  • Application on file for NYS Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse.
