Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for:
- Conducting patient interviews and intake, preparing patients for triage by the RN.
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs, reporting abnormal findings.
- Collecting specimens and performing diagnostic point-of-care testing.
- Documenting patient care in the EMR, including follow-up actions.
- Administering immunizations and medications according to established protocols.
- Educating patients and families, documenting teaching and responses.
- Maintaining current certifications and participating in patient emergency events.
- Ensuring proper maintenance and functionality of patient care equipment.
- Supporting the overall patient experience through professional communication and care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting (preferably ambulatory care).
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Hard Skills: EMR documentation, point-of-care testing, specimen collection.
- Soft Skills: Flexibility, adaptability, strong communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- 3-5 years of clinical experience.
