It is also a great, supportive working environment for our dedicated staff!*Shifts available:* Full-time evenings, nights and weekends.*Base pay is $30.13-$41 per hour and evening and night shifts are eligible for a 10% shift differential. **Union benefits (available according to Pay Rate)** Medical Coverage including prescription coverage* Dental and Vision Coverage* Paid Family Leave* Basic Short Term and Long Term Disability* Pension* Tuition Reimbursement* Generous Paid Time Off* Employee of the Month* Safety Bingo Incentive*Summary of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):*Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing.*Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):** Assess and document resident progress in the medical record.* Obtain changes in physician's orders as indicated by resident's progress or lack of progress* Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors and Director of Nursing, as indicated.* Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures.* Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to be sure adequate supplies of skin care products are on hand to meet the needs of residents.* Participate in educational programs for residents and their family members relative to skin care when a resident is being discharged to home.* Participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned.*Job Requirements of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):** Licensed Practical Nurse current state license in New York.* At least one (1) year of Skilled Nursing experience preferred* Must have a current/active CPR certification.* Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.* Effective verbal and written English communication skills.* Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.* Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $32.24 - $41.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceLicense/Certification:* NY LPN license (Required)* BLS Certification (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Jamaica, NY 11432 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Jamaica, NY 11432: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
