In this role you will:Follow all New York Cancer and Blood Specialists policies and proceduresUpdate and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital formatManage Physician inbox and prioritize tasks assigned via ONCO EMRWork in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facilityAssist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as neededRecord patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointmentClean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointmentsEscort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chartRecord patient interview, history, and chief complaintProvide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special dietsPrepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening testsAssist physician with exams Prepare and administer InjectionsPhlebotomy and collection of other lab specimensPerform basic lab testsPerform EKGsAdminister and document medication under a physician's order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical errorWe require: Current NYS LPN license required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Previous experience in a lead role or demonstrated potential to act in a lead capacity.Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.Outpatient experience preferredProficiency in ONCOemrTravel to any of the NYCBS locationsHours: Monday-FridaySalary up to $40 per hourBenefits include 100% Tuition Reimbursement for any accredited nursing degree including PA, Health Insurance on day 1 of employment, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long term disability, 401k Plan, generous PTO time, 8 paid holidays (2 floating) and more.Visit our website at: nycancer.com and follow us on Facebook.
