Performs nursing process while providing direct patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. If working in non-provider based, physician practice sites, utilizing the medical model of care delivery, patient assessments, plan of care, and discharge plan are performed by a physician, nurse practitioner (NP), or physician assistant (PA). defined by unit and system by due date.Achieves 75% attendance at staff meetings if applicable.Special Note: The LPN may not perform the following tasks:Documentation of the initial inpatient admission assessment.Initiation of Caregiver Protocols, with the exception of influenza vaccine protocols.Initiation of the administration of blood products, unsupervised.Initiate chemotherapy
