JOB TITLE ( 25137 ): Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator New York, NY Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator to fill an opening with a Review Company located in New York, New York. Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator : Must have an NYS Licensed Practical Nurse license Must have a minimum of 2 years experience performing utilization review, claims adjudication, medical review, fraud investigation, surveillance, or monitoring activities; OR 3 years of clinical or administrative experience; OR A Licensed Practical Nurse certificate and 2 years of clinical or administrative experience SMQT Certification is preferred but should be able to obtain within 12 months of employment Must have a valid driver's license & the ability to travel to on-site facilities to review assignments Must have at least one (1) year of survey experience Benefits of the Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator : The salary for this position is $48 / hr This is a Contract/Travel position Mileage reimbursement Flexible Schedule Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator : Participate in surveys or complaint investigations to include allegations of abuse and neglect, and perform surveillance activities/tasks at nursing homes (long-term care) to determine compliance with Federal and State regulations. Produce written documentation and draft a Statement of Deficiencies (SOD) within the required time frame, using Principles of Documentation. Assess compliance with the Plan of Correction within the required time frame. Complete data entry in Federal and State reporting databases as required. Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy situations. Attend meetings as required. Testify in administrative hearings as needed. Adhere to DOH work schedules. Adhere to DOH and IPRO policies, and procedures.
