Job Description: Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurses Location: Rochester, New York, 14617 Duration: 13 Weeks Contract Shift: 12hr (Available Shifts: Day, Night & Rotational - All 3 available) Note: Expected to work every other weekend. Candidate MUST be able to take own assignment! This is NOT an LTC unit; minimum of 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience is required. This is a great opportunity for LPNs who are in process of becoming RN. AHA BLS required at the time of submission. The facility will accept local candidates for LPN jobs. Float required - If floating to ICU or ER it would be to care for M/S level patients or be helping hands. Facility can call off up to 3 shifts for 13-week contract and 2 shifts less than 13-week contract. Licensed Practical Nurse duties and responsibilities:Assessing patients to monitor their progress, watching for any problems, and reporting them to the RN in chargeDocumenting their findings in the medical recordsTaking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse)Changing wound dressingsGiving medicationsHelp patients with activities of daily living, such as feeding, dressing, and mobility.
