A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Patient Care Services department. This role will involve providing quality care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, performing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Schedule:
    • Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
    • Friday: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Hours: 45-minute lunch break required
  • Interviews: Open to virtual or in-person, with emphasis on punctuality
  • Setting: Primarily a clinic-based environment, handling physicals, immunizations, and daily medication management

Responsibilities: The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Conducting patient interviews and intake
  • Preparing patients for triage and reporting vital sign abnormalities
  • Collecting specimens and performing diagnostic testing
  • Documenting care and communication in the EMR
  • Administering immunizations and medications safely
  • Participating in patient and family education, documenting their responses
  • Managing insurance pre-approvals and medication refills
  • Responding to emergency situations, maintaining BLS certification
  • Ensuring patient care equipment is functional and reporting issues
  • Upholding professional communication and patient safety standards
  • Performing additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic healthcare environment
  • Proficient in patient assessment and care planning
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to quality patient care

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with ambulatory care practices
  • Experience in patient education and care coordination
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team
