What you will do:
* Specific duties and job responsibilities will depend on the area of service you join.
* Exercise an independent and self-motivated spirit.
* Participate in a team-based approach to excellent patient care.
* Triage emergencies plus initiate stabilization and treatments.
* Manage care of all patients, including those who are critically ill.
* Always be intrigued with our diverse caseload from horses and cows to sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, pigs and sometimes reindeer and camels.
* Contribute meaningfully to the education of veterinary students, interns and residents.
* Perform diagnostic evaluations and medical procedures using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques: bloodwork, ultrasound, endoscopy, radiographs, critical care monitoring and more.

The Cornell University Equine and Farm Animal Hospital provides round- the-clock care for large animals 365 days of the year. Our LVTs provide exceptional patient experiences during:
* Daytime
* Evenings (includes shift differential pay)
* Nights (includes shift differential pay)
* Weekends
* Holidays (includes generous holiday pay)
Current open technician schedules will include evening, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts.
What are the qualifications?
* Associate degrees from an AVMA accredited institution, expected to obtain NYS licensure within 3 months; up to 1 year relevant experience or equivalent combination.
