Together, we are mission-driven, eager to achieve, and passionate about bringing the best of who we are to those we serve.The Division of Licensing is seeking to fill a key leadership position within the Licensing Unit.The Licensing Administrator manages the licensing field office, which is responsible for reducing risks to adults and children in care facilities through the promotion and support of improved quality of care and enforcement of state licensing laws, regulations, and evaluation of standards of practices. This position provides supervision and administrative leadership to licensing and technical support staff, identifies and evaluates the trends that impact quality of care, incorporates and enforces department and division directives, documents and guidance, and represents the agency and division during interactions with providers, federal, state, and localagencies, and the community. This position requires extensive travel throughout the Commonwealth including overnight stays. This position will serve in the role of licensing administrator as needed across all eight regional licensing offices.Minimum QualificationsComprehensive knowledge of developmental, social, emotional, health/medical needs of adults and children served in regulated settings.Previous experience as a supervisor with proven leadership and team building skills.* Skill in working effectively within difficult or hostile environments to resolve problems.* Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, both orally and in writing, and work collaboratively and cooperatively with others.* Ability to operate basic office computer systems/programs* Knowledge of information and evidence collection and analysis techniques.* Travel is required, with possible overnight stays, throughout Virginia.
