The Licensing Specialist will primarily be responsible for ensuring proper licensing and regulatory compliance for outside partnerships of the domestic property and casualty business.
Essential Job Functions
Review and analyze onboarding materials of prospective external business partners.
Liaise with outside business contacts and insurance regulators.
Coordinate timely curing of internal and external licensing and regulatory deficiencies.
Manage internal and external audit materials.
Understand and implement processes prescribed by various insurance regulators.
Field licensing inquiries related to business entities and individuals.
Gather licensing and compliance information through research.
Complete special projects and assignments as needed.
Handle multiple, competing priorities.
Build strong relationships with co-workers on the team.
Requirements
Bachelors degree.
1-2 years of related law firm or in-house experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
Strong organizational and writing skills.
Performance of tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to follow established workflows and guidelines.
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
Preferred
Paralegal certification.
Insurance industry experience.
Property & casualty licensing experience in multiple states and/or jurisdictions.
Warranty experience.
