We need a weekend Life Enrichment Assistant to join our remarkable team who work daily to inspire sparks of joy for 28 unique residents who reside atour memory care community in McMinnville, OR.

About the Role: Implements the comprehensive activity program for both groups of residents and individual residents interests. Assists Life Enrichment Coordinator in decorating, party planning, and other related duties.

  • Gathers supplies, prepares for activities, solicits resident participation, leads activities, cleans-up after activities.Provides one-on-one socialization to residents as needed or as directed.
  • Decorates for, and assists with, special events and holidays.
  • Works as a team member to maintain a pleasant, effective work environment for staff and caring home environment for the residents.
  • Assists Life Enrichment Coordinator in developing and creating new and interesting activities, games, events, and lifelong learning opportunities.
  • Assist in mealtime service including escorting Residents to and from the dining room.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of large special events

About you:

  • A desire to work with elderly and disabled persons.
  • Ability to generate enthusiasm and cooperation from others.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • A genuine interest in and respect for people and a desire to be to service to them.
  • Ability to accept and work with persons with differing social and cultural traits.
  • Has an overall cheery disposition and is friendly with Residents and staff.
