Position Type:Athletics/ActivitiesDate Posted:11/13/2024Location:AthleticsDate Available:11/19/2024Closing Date:Until FilledAdditional Information: Show/HideLIFEGUARDDescription: The lifeguard is responsible for the safety of the students while in the pool area.Responsibilities:* Ensure the health and safety of the students in the pool area.* Ensure appropriate and efficient emergency response when needed.* Enforce the pool rules in an appropriate, fair and equitable manner and explain the rationale for the rule(s) when needed.* Assist students as needed, but without compromising the safety of others using the pool.* Adhere to the policies and procedures set forth in the Staff Manual.* Attend meetings as requested.* Be on time and cover all assigned hours.* Attend to the cleanliness of the Pool area and its equipment.* Perform other job related tasks as assigned.Qualifications:* Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification* Current First Aid and CPR certification* Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills* Experience lifeguarding in a pool area with children.Salary Range$16 hr (2023/2024)
