The Aquatics Team is responsible for ensuring the pool area is safe and well maintained to meet the needs of our members and participants.Responsibilities:Supervise the aquatic area, using lifeguarding best practices and provide a safe environment for all participants.Ensure daily cleaning of pool deck, pool, whirlpool, and equipment.Inspect equipment at least daily, report equipment that needs replacement/repair.Ensure all pool equipment is in good repair.Record and maintain accurate pool/whirlpool chemical readings and reports, according to the Baltimore City Health Department and League supervision.Assist the Manager of Wellness and other pool staff with the daily operations of the aquatic center.Advocate for The League and People with Disabilities.Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Wellness Center.Demonstrate the 5 Core Values of The League (Accountability, Participant Focus, Quality, Independence, and Mutual Respect).Training Required:Lifeguard Certification.CPR and First Aid Certifications.League Annual Trainings. Position allows for a series of Hepatitis Vaccine Qualifications.Requirements:Must have current lifeguard, CPR, and first aid certifications.Excellent communication and socialization skills required.Experience working with the disabled population is desired.#J-18808-Ljbffr
