The Center for Corporate & Community Education (CCED) is currently seeking part-time Lifeguards to supervise the activities of swimmers in the pool area.
Key responsibilities for this position include:- Ensures the safety of swimmers by enforcing the pool rules and regulations, preventing accidents and responding timely to emergency situations;
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service;
- Communicates with other lifeguards, water safety instructors and supervisors;
- Substitutes for other staff members as needed.
The hours for this position will be dependent on the availability of the applicant. Daytime, evening and weekend shifts are available.Qualifications:
- Current Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications at the time of application
- Availability to work during the week (mornings and evenings) as well as weekends if necessary
- Effective communication skills and the ability to engage positively with the public
- Self-motivated with the ability to work without constant supervision
- Willingness to assist with swim lessons should the need arise
